This April during Alcohol Awareness Month, I encourage you to educate yourself and your loved ones about the dangers of excessive drinking. To spread the word and prevent alcohol abuse, Minds Moving Forward is joining other organizations across the country to honor Alcohol Awareness Month.
Every day 28 people die in the U.S. as result of motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. Excessive alcohol consumption has shown to increase people’s risk of injuries, violence, drowning, liver disease, and some types of cancer. If you believe you may be drinking too much or drinking too often, invest in yourself and your loved ones by cutting back or quitting. Here are some tips to get started:
